| The Place of Scripture in Spiritual FormationDr. Robert MulhollandDr. Mulholland is on the faculty of Asbury Theological Seminary is Wilmore, Kentucky. He received his MDiv from Wesley Theological Seminary and doctorate from Harvard University. He has served local parishes and is the author of several books including Shaped by the Word: The Power of Scripture in Spiritual Formation and Invitation to a Journey: A Road Map for Spiritual Formation. History of Christian SpiritualitySr. Miriam SchmittSr. Miriam is a Benedictine member of Annunciation Priory, Bismarck, North Dakota. She received her MA in Liturgical Studies from St. John's School of Theology, Collegeville, Minnesota and an MSIA in Institutional Administration from the University of Notre Dame. She has done considerable additional study in spirituality partly as a resident scholar at the Ecumenical Institute, St. John's Abbey and has served as faculty in the liturgy and monastic studies programs of St. John's School of Theology, Collegeville. Her special focus has been on the 12th century mystic, Hildegard of Bingen and the 13th century contemplative, Gertrud of Helfta and Walburga of Eichstatt of the 8th century. |
